My sneak peek is from "Alone Together" 

Aaron shrugged. “She was angry and hurt, of course. But we talked it out. I told her everything. And I do mean everything.”

I thought about that conversation, about all the details of he and I being laid bare. “Jesus.”

“There wasn’t any other way. She’s my wife, and I love her.” 

I snorted. “You weren’t thinking about that when you fucked me.” 

“I was, actually.” He stepped back but stayed close, kept his hands on my chest. “I want you both. I love you both. I never wanted to choose. Don’t you get it? You and I can be together.” He waved a hand in the air. “Half the people around here will just assume you’re staying with us while you’re working through your divorce. It’s 2012. No one cares anymore.”

“I’m pretty sure Debra will. I’m not like you, okay?”

Sneak Peek Sunday 6/16/13

These 6 paragraphs are from a WIP titled "Pudding Jones." It's currently being reviewed for submission. Maybe if you all love these 6 paragraphs enough, that'll convince the editor to accept it!  (hint, hint)

Pudding took a deep breath; let it out slowly and deliberately. "Suppose I should start at the beginning, hmm? To begin my life with the beginning of my life, I record that I was born, as I have been informed and believe, on a Friday, at twelve o'clock at night. It was remarked that the clock began to strike, and I began to cry, simultaneously..."

While he talked, I wracked my brain. I had heard those words before. But where? It finally hit me, and I chuckled. "Copperfield."

"What?"

"That's from David Copperfield."

"What is?"

"What you just said. To begin my life, yadda yadda. It's the opening lines of a book called David Copperfield by Charles Dickens."
