Fall in Love Blog Hop

So the purpose of this blog hop is to "talk about new books or authors we have fallen in love with this year."

Now you all know that I don't typically read m/m as a rule, and that I don't have much time for reading in general. What does that mean? Well, usually it means that if I *do* happen to pick up an m/m book, it's an established author whose work I am familiar with and know I can count on.

That being said...this year, two of my friends jumped into the industry. Tom Webb - writing as T.A. Webb, and Danny Johns, writing as Daniel B. Johns.

Tom's debut came in the form of a collaboration with established Author Laura Harner, called "Deep Blues Goodbye." Well, it's not his debut, actually - that was "Back Up" - and It's Raining Men Round Robin Story, but I must confess I haven't read that one yet.

I have read "Deep Blues Goodbye," and loved it. You can read my review of it here.

I'm anxiously (read: fanboyishly) awaiting the release of his first solo work, "Second Chances."

Here's the blurb: Mark Jennings is at a crossroads. His finance job in the Atlanta nonprofit scene stresses him out, his mother is dying, and his relationship with Brian Jacobs has crashed and burned. He needs a distraction, some way to relax, and a massage seems like just the thing. He never expected his massage therapist, Antonio Roberto, to become his best friend.

Despite their differences—Antonio is a divorced single father—the two men forge a firm friendship that weathers Mark’s reconciliation with Brian and Antonio’s questionable taste in women. Over the years, Antonio remains constant in his support, though others in Mark’s life come and go through a revolving door.

When a young boy runs away from the group home where he works, Mark finds another door opening. Through it all he holds on to the things his loved ones taught him—about family, about friends and lovers, about life and death. Most importantly, he realizes that sometimes the greatest gift of all is a second chance.

Now, Danny's story, "Mirrors in the Attic", will be featured in the "Winter Heat Anthology" from It's Raining Men, but it's not out until 11/19. (***UPDATE:  When I scheduled this post, 11/19 was the date I'd been given. But happily there's a NEW RELEASE DATE OF 11/2!!***) I encourage you to check it out. (I'll add links at some point if it goes live or pre-order anywhere!)

Here's the blurb: My name is Stanley Nelson and I am a psychic working with the Boston Police. My notoriety comes from a voice in my head. When evil threatens my life I run to free the only person who can help me, Luchien. Along the way, I meet Deke Bridges, a Nantucket handyman who harbors a secret that ties us together. Will good win out over evil? Can love survive no matter what the cost?

So there you have it - two fabulous new voices in the m/m industry!

****PLEASE BE AWARE:  I write GLBTQ romance. GLBTQ stands for gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, and queer. This means my works feature same sex relationships AND same sex sexual acts. If winning that kind of a book isn't your cup of tea, kindly pass on to the next blog in the hop and leave the spot open for someone else. Thank you.****
