Meet Mindy and Wallace.
They came to us under very different circumstances. I work at a veterinary clinic, and the local shelter brought in a six month old pug with a broken leg to be put to sleep. Of course, I took him on the spot. We named him Wallace. Shortly after he got better, it became pretty clear to us that he needed a friend. We called a local shelter, told them the situation, and they said they had the perfect dog. We threw Wallace in the car, sped down the road, and adopted a furry ball of fire whom Hubby named Mindy.
At first, Wallace just wasn't sure of her. She was a girl after all, and girls have cooties. But it didn't take long until they became buddies. Now, they're virtually inseparable. They sleep together and play together - in fact, they spend most of their time by each other's sides.
