Blurb:
It's been a long time since Rex indulged his needs. He wants to, he just...can't. Can he trust Declan to help him?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Rex paused across
the street from the Shady Business BDSM club. He still wasn't sure why he'd
come. The last time he'd done something like this... He shivered and shook his
head, rolled his shoulders in an attempt to shake the memories off. His lifted
his hand to rub the back of his neck, but movement brought the scars on his
wrist into view. He stood there, hand held in the air, staring at the marks on
his flesh from his last foray into his darker desires. This was insane. He
turned to go just as someone called his name.
"Rex!"
He faced the club
again. Standing just outside the door, six delicious feet of muscle and man,
was Grey Shade, the owner of the club. Rex sighed. Great. Now he'd been seen.
He took a deep breath and ran across to meet up with his new friend. "Hey."
"Hey yourself."
Grey laid a hand on Rex's shoulder. "I wasn't sure you'd come."
"Neither was I."
Rex laughed nervously and ran his hand through his hair. Being near Grey
brought up feelings and needs he couldn't deny. Maybe he'd been right to come.
"Declan called.
He's running a little late. How about a tour in the meantime?" Grey
inclined his head and stepped aside to let Rex enter.
Last chance.
Rex glanced up and down the street, then above to the nondescript sign.
"If you've
changed your mind, it's all right." Grey assured him. "I won't be
offended."
Rex shook his head.
He needed this, probably more than he realized. "No, I'm good."
He followed Grey
inside. He looked around, frowning. Not what he'd expected at all. Just a
courtyard area and a restaurant. Several people sat at tables, talking and
laughing, sharing drinks. Everything looked positively normal.
"Sorry I'm
late."
Rex snapped his head
around at that voice. Declan strode toward him, pulled him into a tight embrace
against that massive, chiseled chest, leaving him breathless. He stifled a
gurgle of protest when Declan pulled away.
"I was just
about to give him the tour," Grey explained. "You might as well
continue yourself." He gestured to a set of stairs Rex hadn't noticed.
A meaningful look
passed between them, and Rex suddenly had the impression that the two Doms knew
more about each other than he'd initially thought. The image of them together,
bodies writhing against each other, filled his head and went straight to his
cock. A blush blazed its way up his neck and cheeks as he looked away.
Declan gave Grey a
half bow and took Rex's hand. "Come. There's a lot to show you."
Rex nodded and
walked up the stairs behind Declan. Once again, the place surprised him. He'd
been in BDSM clubs and playhouses before, but never one as large as this, or as
clean. His memories were of dirty, hole-in-the-wall dives; backrooms where the
floor was sticky and the bonds were rusty. This place had swank written all
over it.
Declan pointed to
their right, and lead the way over to the bar area. Loud music played overhead,
and more bodies than he could count gyrated on the dance floor. Rex eyed the
bar. Tempting, but he needed his head in the game tonight.
"The room we
want is that way." Declan jerked a thumb in the direction they'd come. He
pulled a shiny plastic card out of his pocket and held it up for Rex to see. "Shall
we?"
Rex swallowed hard.
He nodded, the jerky movement of his head not nearly as confident as he wanted
to seem.
Declan slid his arm
around Rex's waist. "You don't have to do this," he murmured.
"Yeah... Yeah,
I do." He tapped the card. "Let's go."
To be continued...
